VISION:
THE SANDHILLS SANDSHARKS SWIM TEAM IS A MULTI-LEVEL PROGRAM WHICH ENCOURAGES YOUNGSTERS TO MEET THEIR FULL POTENTIAL AS SENIOR SWIMMERS AND PROVIDES THE OPPORTUNITY TO COMPETE AT THE OLYMPIC AND INTERNATIONAL LEVEL.
MISSION STATMENT:
TO CREATE AN ENVIRONMENT WHERE EACH ATHLETE IS PROVIDED THE OPPORTUNITY TO ACHIEVE HIS POTENTIAL AS A SENIOR SWIMMER.
PHILOSOPHY:
THE SANDHILLS SANDSHARKS SWIM TEAM IS FOCUSED TO FOSTER, PROMOTE, AND DEVELOP INTEREST IN COMPETITIVE SWIMMING,THROUGH THE ENJOYMENT AND CAMARADERIE PROVIDED THROUGH COMPETITIVE SWIMMING. THE FRAMEWORK OF THE PROGRAM WILL HELP EACH PERSON REALIZE HIS ABILITIES AND FULLFILL HIS POTENTIAL. WE ENCOURAGE YOUNGER ATHLETES TO PARTICIPATE IN OTHER ACTIVITIES. AS THE SWIMMER DEVELOPS, A GREATER COMMITMENT MUST BE MET FOR THE INDIVIDUAL TO MEET HIS FULL POTENTIAL. AS A SWIMMER PROGRESSES THROUGH THE PROGRAM, HE WILL GAIN VALUABLE LIFE SKILLS THROUGH COMPETITION, TEAMWORK, DISCIPLINE AND DEDICATION.

Pentathlon May 3rd- We are excited to have Ed Moses this year as our speaker. Ed is the short course world record holder in the 100 and 200 breast stroke and American record holder in the 100 and 200 breast long course. He won a Gold and two Silver medals at the 2000 Olympics. The various events of the day will run from 10 am- 5 pm. and the cost for the day will be in the neighborhood of .
Tag Sale - The annual tag sale will be held March 22nd. Start now to set aside those "treasure" items for the sale. The proceeds from the sale will be used to offset the travel costs of the team's trip this summer to Buffalo, NY. Please see Taylor or Ellen, if you can volunteer to run the tag sale this year

Parents, we need pictures for the web site!
In the past, we have asked for slides, this year
we are asking parents & swimmers to turn in pictures
on a floppy disc or cd in jpg. form.
You can ask for these when you have your film developed.
This year will be the best slide show to date!
